What is Ground Rigging

Ground riggers assist "UP" riggers assembling temporary suspension structures to support performance equipment.

Their work is based on instruction and plans. They work indoor as well as outdoor.

Ground riggers cooperate closely with "UP" riggers and they work like one unit.

Some examples of this is when they are setting up stages for:

  • Concerts

  • Public speaking events

  • Sporting events

  • and MANY MORE ...

The average daily pay rate is $300.00 plus and depending upon where you are located, the daily rate can easily be $1,000.00 when traveling expenses and other fees are involved.
